1st Lord – Edward de Kendale
2nd Lord – Robert Turk, by the right of his wife Beatrice, is appointed a Justice of the Peace and is knighted. Sir Robert fought in a naval victory off Margate against the French, Spanish and Flemish fleets. He served as a Member of Parliament. Sir Robert is appointed High Sheriff of Essex and Hertfordshire.
12th Lord – Sir Robert Napier who had amassed his fortune through trade with Turkey. He served as High Sheriff of Bedfordshire. He acquired a baronet from King James I. Sir Robert is elected Sheriff of London but refuses to take up the office and is fined 400 marks.
14th Lord – Sir John Napier (baronet) was a career politician who sat in the Cavalier Parliament until 1679.
15th Lord – Sir Theophilus Napier who served as High Sheriff of Bedfordshire.
18th Lord – Francis Herne of Middlesex was a politician who sat in the House of Commons 1754 -1776. Francis served as High Sheriff of Bedfordshire.
